Sales Automation
Sales automation in CRM refers to the automatic creation of tasks and emails related to sales activities in CRM. We use the Click Dimensions tools for Sales (and Marketing) Automation. Sales automation activities are all transactional - that is they are in response to a customer inquiry or are part of the process for booking a guest or servicing a guest currently in-house.
Sales Automation Basics
All the rules below apply to all sales automation emails, except for the automated reply sent to those who submit web inquiries. That email is always sent in response to new web inquiries to ensure the submitter is contacted right away.
- Emails are created as drafts (not sent), you decide when to send and can edit before sending
- Emails are sent to contacts
- For opportunities (and quotes) – the requested by, or the contact if present
- For orders – the reserved by, or the customer (if a contact)
- Emails are created by you clicking buttons or performing certain actions
