WORKFLOWS IN CRM

You'll often see the term workflow in CRM.

You can think of this as the way an opportunity flows through the system, from entering the first contact or account, through to quotes, contracts, reservations and billing.

Workflows are represented graphically near the top of the screen.

The orange arrow represents where you are in this workflow.

The lock symbol beside the text in the gray arrows means that these stages in the workflow are 'locked' until you have completed mandatory items in the current workflow.

In the opportunity above, we have not indicated a city, budget or other details about the suite required, and of course we can't proceed to the Quote process until this information is known.
